  • The Park Drive site is the most accessible and sustainable location, within easy walking distance to all of the facilities of Bramley.

  • The existing allotments will be relocated to the adjoining field and increased by 50% in size, offering enhanced opportunities for local residents.

  • The recently updated Housing Needs Survey (HNS) 2023 for Bramley identified a need for 25 Affordable dwellings. There will be hidden need, further increasing this number, as stated in the HNS.

  • Since 2009 a total of 17 Affordable properties have been built in Bramley...all of which were delivered through Planning Permissions secured by Paul Hunt Investments Ltd.

  • ​Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in July 2021 calculated that Waverley residents would need to pay  12.57 times annual salary (£41,377) to afford the average house price (£520,000).

  • The overwhelming need for houses in Bramley prioritises the provision of 1-3 bed properties.  This caters to identified affordable housing needs, with those for young families and the ability for older people to downsize, while remaining in the area.

  • The downsizing aspect helps to free up larger properties, allowing for a greater emphasis on smaller homes on-site.  Focusing on the 1-3 bed dwellings improves the property market...offering greater choice for first time buyers.

  • The proposed scheme aligns perfectly with the recently adopted Bramley Neighbourhood Plan ( Jan 2022).

  • All dwellings will be designed in a tenure blind manner, eliminating any differences in the style, design and use of materials between market and affordable houses.
